During the patrolling of the Ukrainian-Polish section of the border, military personnel of the “Stuzhitsa” department discovered a cache of firearms from the First World War behind the line of engineering structures.
The border guards noticed the details of the rifle, which were visible from under the ground. The place of discovery was secured and employees of the National Police and the State Emergency Service were called.
In total, 4,500 cartridges and 3 hand grenades were retrieved from the ground. In addition, there were 75 units of 7.62-mm Mosin rifles in the cache.
