On Thursday, September 26, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his country is ready to take part in the second Global Peace Summit organized by Ukraine.

This is reported by Hürriyet.

“We said that we are ready to participate in this conference… We hope that we, as Turkey, will participate in establishing peace in the region. “We are probably the country that most wants a just peace in the Ukrainian-Russian war,” Erdoğan said.

According to him, Turkey seeks peace, and the war can be ended with the help of diplomacy and dialogue. Provided that both the warring parties and other participants believe that it is possible to solve problems in this way.

“Unfortunately, we are not close to that yet. We consider the fact that we can negotiate with both the Ukrainian and Russian sides as an advantage on the road to peace. If we can go through this difficult path and achieve our goal, we will be doing a great service to humanity,” he said.

The second Global Peace Summit is the main thing

On June 15-16, the first Global Peace Summit initiated by Ukraine took place in Switzerland, to which the aggressor country Russia was not invited. China refused to participate in the event.

The summit was attended by 100 delegations, including 57 heads of state and government from all regions of the world.

On June 16, the Swiss Foreign Ministry announced that the next peace summit for Ukraine could be organized before the US presidential election, which should take place in November.

On September 11, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that at the second peace summit, Ukraine should present a victory plan to force Russia to end the war diplomatically.

They intend to invite Russia to the second global peace summit.
