Italian tennis player Yannick Sinnerwho is ranked No. 1 in the Association of Tennis Professionals, will not take part in the ATP 500 tournament, which will be held in Vienna from October 21 to 27.
Journalist from Italy Giovanni Pelazzo reported that the tennis player’s non-appearance at the tournament will result in Sinner losing 500 points in the ranking, which, however, does not threaten his position at the top of the world list.
Skipping the tournament in Austria will allow the Italian to better prepare for the next tournaments in Paris, Turin and Malaga.
