In July, 62.4 billion hryvnias were sent to pensions, in June – 62.3 billion hryvnias, in May – 60.9 billion hryvnias, and in April – 60.5 billion hryvnias.
We will remind you that in 2024 the budget of the Pension Fund is without deficit. According to the draft state budget for 2025, it will also be deficit-free next year.
As in previous years, the planned amount of the transfer for the Pension Fund of Ukraine will allow the full payment of pensions, supplements, allowances and increases to pensions, which, in accordance with the current legislation, are financed at the expense of budget funds, in particular, the annual indexation of pensions
As of August 1, 2024, the total number of pensioners in Ukraine was 10.271 million people, which is 26.2 thousand more than a month ago. 8.227 million people receive pensions through current bank accounts. Another 2.044 million pensioners received payments through Ukrposhta.
Recipients of pensions can receive payments through the post office or to a bank account.
The average amount of the pension as of July 1, 2024 was UAH 5,816.62. Since the beginning of the year, it has increased by 431.37 hryvnias or by 8.0%.
